Welcome to the world of cocktail filmmaking, where craftsmanship and energy are brought vividly to the screen.
APOLLO’S MUSE
My favourite setting for filming sponsored cocktail content is the beautifully extravagant Apollo’s Muse bar, tucked away inside Bacchanalia in London’s Mayfair.
Every angle offers something striking—classical statues, marble textures, and a sense of quiet luxury—but what makes it truly special is the stillness. With the bar closed during shoots, it becomes a private creative space—just the bartender and myself, shaping each moment without distraction.
PATRON
When promoting a restaurant or bar brand, its distinct style and identity should take precedence. The sponsor’s brand should be incorporated more subtly within the video; however, in this instance, the opposite approach was taken. The team wanted this very beautiful and elegant Patron bottle to be centre of attention, highlighting all the intricate details.

JOHNNIE WALKER
The first video I captured at Apollo’s Muse bar was met with a highly positive response from the entire team, quickly establishing a creative benchmark for Bacchanalia’s cocktail content. It set the tone for a refined visual style—one that balances atmosphere, craftsmanship, and storytelling—shaping how future videos should look, feel, and resonate with the audience.

DALMORE
Each time I approach a new cocktail video, I consider how it can be differentiated from the previous one. Varying the filming location is an important first step—whether that involves moving further along the bar or capturing the preparation or presentation within other areas of the venue. In this instance, I applied this approach by incorporating a range of angles, perspectives, and backgrounds to create a more distinctive and engaging result.

CYGNET GIN
Apollo’s Muse and the cocktail videos we typically produce are characterised by a dark, moody aesthetic. However, given the light and transparent qualities of the Cygnet Gin bottle, I chose to introduce a brighter visual approach to the bar. This lighting not only complemented the product but also added a distinctive character of its own.

SEXY FISH
At Sexy Fish, there’s a lot more colour in the bar area, especially with staff uniforms and with the drinks they make.
RON SANTIAGO
I have greatly enjoyed filming the Ron Santiago de Cuba–sponsored cocktails. These shoots often incorporate decorative elements such as plants, with foreground foliage and vibrant background colour enhancing the visual composition. Complemented by Cuban-inspired music, this approach shapes a lively, fast-paced editing style, bringing the entire video to life.

SEXY FISH VODKA
To promote the launch of the Sexy Fish Vodka bottle, we shot a video with cool blue tones that connected to the bottle itself. I filmed using a slow shutter speed, to create blurred movement, when people or objects were in motion.

INTERVIEWS
Interviews enable brands to communicate key messages while fostering a more authentic and human connection with their audience. They represent a step beyond standard cocktail videos, offering a platform to tell a story and provide viewers with meaningful insights that encourage deeper engagement.

BOOK LAUNCH
These videos were produced to support the launch of their cocktail book, with each drink accompanied by its own origin story, crafted by the in-house bar team.
For Sexy Fish, the book—‘Unity’—presented alcoholic options on one side and non-alcoholic on the other, inspiring the visual concept of the flipping book to reflect this duality.
For Bacchanalia, the concept centred around ‘Alchemist’, leading us to transform Apollo’s Muse into a vintage-style laboratory to align with the theme.
ANNANDALE
DISTILLERY
I have always wanted to film at a distillery and capture the whisky-making process. This was filmed using 1.6x anamorphic lenses, creating a wide, cinematic perspective enhanced by distinctive lens flares.
34 MAYFAIR
Vibrant jazz melodies paired with an elegant fine dining experience create an atmosphere of effortless sophistication at 34 Mayfair. The live music brings energy and character to the space, while the refined cuisine and attentive service elevate the overall experience, making it a destination where ambience and gastronomy come together seamlessly.
SCOTT’S
Every brand has their own identity, so when you have two come together, you have to keep both in mind throughout the process.
No. TEN
On the day of a shoot, time is often limited, making it essential to prioritise the most impactful moments. Showcasing the alcohol sponsor is key, followed by capturing the essence of the bar, the bartender, and the overall brand. Any additional elements should be considered a bonus.
