Welcome to the wonderful world of cocktail filming, where we bring the excitement and craft to the screen.

APOLLO’S MUSE

My favourite setting for filming sponsored cocktail content is the beautifully extravagant Apollo’s Muse bar, tucked away inside Bacchanalia in London’s Mayfair.

Every angle offers something striking—classical statues, marble textures, and a sense of quiet luxury—but what makes it truly special is the stillness. With the bar closed during shoots, it becomes a private creative space—just the bartender and myself, shaping each moment without distraction.

PATRON

The restaurant or bar brand style and needs comes first, only slightly highlighting the sponsor brand, but with this video it was the opposite. The team wanted this very beautiful and elegant Patron bottle to be centre of attention, highlighting all the intricate details.

JOHNNIE WALKER

The first video I captured in the Apollo’s Muse bar, which was received with praise from the whole team. This set a benchmark, for what Bacchanalia cocktail videos should look and feel like.

DALMORE

Each time I approach a new cocktail video, I ask myself, what can we do differently to make it stand out from the previous one. Filming in a slightly different location is the first step, whether that’s further down the bar or even doing the making or presenting away from the bar and into the venue/restaurant itself. This is what I did with this video, filming different angles and showcasing different view points and backgrounds.

CYGNET GIN

Apollo’s Muse and the cocktail videos that we usually film are dark and moody, but as Cygnet Gin’s bottle is light and clear, I decided to bring that brightness to the bar. The lighting brought a splash of its own personality.

SEXY FISH

At Sexy Fish, there’s a lot more colour in the bar area, especially with staff uniforms and with the drinks they make.

RON SANTIAGO

I’ve had a lot of fun filming the Ron Santiago De Cuba sponsored cocktails. There’s usually some plants brought in for decoration, foreground foliage and background colour. The cuban flavoured music inspires the fun and fast paced edits, bringing the whole video to life.

INTERVIEWS

Interviews help brands get across information and connect with their audience in more human way, a step up from the normal cocktail videos. They tell a story or gives the audience something to think about.

BOOK LAUNCH

These videos were created to help promote their cocktail book launch. Each cocktail had its own origin story, crafted by their very own bar staff and team.

Sexy Fish’s book entitled ‘Unity’, had alcohol options on one side and non-alcoholic on the other, hence the flipping of the book concept.

For Bacchanalia, the concept was ‘Alchemist’, so we turned Apollo’s Muse into an old-school laboratory.

ANNANDALE

DISTILLERY

I’ve always wanted to film at a distillery and capture the whisky making process. Filmed using 1.6x anamorphic lenses, to give it that wide cinematic view and elements of beautiful lens flares.

34 MAYFAIR

Vibrant jazz melodies, mixed with fine dining, 34 Mayfair is the place to be.

RON SANTIAGO

SCOTT’S

Every brand has their own identity, so when you have two come together, you have to keep both in mind throughout the process.

No. TEN

On the day of the shoot, you sometimes don’t get much time to film, so choosing the right moments that matter is key. Highlighting the alcohol sponsor is essential, then capturing the essence of the bar, bartender and overall brand is a must. Anything else is a bonus.
